Robert Chefitz

Bio

Mr. Chefitz has been in the private equity business for over 25 years. During the last seven years, Mr. Chefitz has been a General Partner with NJTC Venture Fund where he has led a number of investments from a broad range of industries including software services to cleantech materials. Mr. Chefitz is currently a Director at, Achieve 3000, Hycrete Technologies, Andrew Technologies, Redpoint Bio Corporation, and RightAnswers; as well as theLadders.com, Alarm.com, and Point Blank Solutions. Previous to NJTC Venture Fund, Mr. Chefitz was a General Partner at Apax Partners where over the course of fifteen years he was involved in nine funds representing over $2 billion of capital. Mr. Chefitz began his career with Golder Thoma Cressey, and for seven years he was engaged in a number of industry roll-up investments. His knowledge of the paging, cellular telephone, and funeral home industry led to several industry consolidations which generated investments with superior returns. Mr. Chefitz has a successful track record of investing in a broad range of industries and stages which include buyouts, expansion funds and venture capital. Some of these investments include Office Depot, Intermedia, Xpedite, and numerous other investments where he was a lead investor and/or Director.
