Bio

Ron is a Managing Director at Westbury Group LLC, an investment bank that represents and advises entrepreneurial middle market companies. Earlier in his career, Ron worked 18 years at J.P. Morgan where he had various investment management and investment banking responsibilities, including managing two separate special situation investment funds where he had primary responsibility for managing all private investment activities. With more than 30 years of experience, Ron has arranged, structured and invested in public and private companies in nearly every industry sector across all levels of the capital structure in a variety of situations including growth capital, leveraged buyouts, venture capital, distressed restructurings, project financings and M&A transactions. Ron has also worked as a Partner at Capital Crossover Partners (now called Ramsey Asset Management), a hedge fund in Washington, DC; and also as a Managing Director at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group (FBR) where he managed certain proprietary investments, participated on the commitments committee and co-managed a private equity fund focused on financial services companies. Ron initially joined FBR as CEO of FBR Business Development Capital, an investment company founded to provide mezzanine financing to private companies. Ron graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of North Carolina and received an MBA from New York University’s Executive Program. He holds Series 7, 24 and 63 FINRA licenses and is based in Connecticut.
