S V Krishnan

Bio

Has over 20 years of experience in general management, corporate finance, retail financial services, project consultancy, market strategy, structured international trade finance, and multilateral funding agencies. Over the last 7 years, he has held leadership positions in Mediciti Hospitals, Medrc Edutech & VANPIC Projects. Prior to joining Teejay, Krishnan was the COO of VANPIC projects, a US$ 5 billion core infrastructure enterprise which included, 2 ports, 20,000 acres of industrial theme parks, SEZ’s, and power plants and the associated infrastructure. As a part of the core vision team for VANPIC, Krishnan was instrumental in preparation of all legal, governmental, marketing & investor collateral that was consumed in the run up to raising a 500 Million US$ equity infusion between March 2008 & June 2009. As COO of Mediciti Hospitals (2004 -07), Krishnan transformed the hospital and medical institute in 4 years with his skills in business visioning & strategy, project financing, operations management, government liaison, negotiations with international consultants & collaborators, and international contract negotiations. In his earlier work in the financial services sector, he spent over 12 years in specialized services like investment banking, merchant banking operations, portfolio management services including wealth management services in leading groups like Shriram Investments Group. During the late nineties, he was also closely involved with a few power sector companies and has raised and deployed funds in excess of Rs 500 Crores through structured equity & syndicated debt financing.
