Samuel Frieder

Bio

Mr. Frieder is the Managing Partner of Kohlberg and a member of the Investment Committee. He joined the Firm in 1989, was made a Partner in 1995 and named Managing Partner in 2006. In addition to responsibilities for originating and executing new investments, and serving as a Director of the portfolio companies listed below, Mr. Frieder oversees all aspects of the firm's investment activities, portfolio company initiatives, personnel decisions and other internal operational and administrative matters. Prior to joining Kohlberg, Mr. Frieder was with the capital funding group at Security Pacific Business Credit and Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company. He is a member of the board of directors of AGY Holdings Corporation, Bauer Performance Sports, BioScrip, Centerplate, Central Parking Corporation, Chronos Life Group, Concrete Technologies Worldwide, e+CancerCare, Hoffmaster Group, Katy Industries, Kohlberg Capital Corporation, Kellermeyer Building Services, Niagara Corporation, Nielsen & Bainbridge, Packaging Dynamics Corporation, Pittsburgh Glass Works, Phillips Plastics Corporation, Stanadyne Corporation, SVP Holdings, Thomas Nelson, and Trico Products. Mr. Frieder received an A.B. from Harvard College.
