Joined Summit Partners in 1996. Prior to Summit, worked as a consultant with McKinsey & Company and served in a variety of US Federal Government positions, including at the White House and Department of Justice. Manages the firm’s London office, which he founded in 2001. Active in Summit’s investment activities in North America, Europe and Asia. During his 13 years with Summit Partners, Mr Collins has served as a director of many companies. Founding trustee of the Private Equity Foundation, Europe's leading venture philanthropy fund which works carefully with selected charities to empower young people to reach their full potential. Currently a director of Actix, IGEFI Group, Vente-Privee.com and Welltec International. His prior directorships include Dorn Technology Group (acquired by Policy Management Systems Corporation), Elumen Solutions (acquired by Computer Task Group), Hittite Microwave Corporation (NASDAQ: HITT), Jamba! AG (acquired by VeriSign), SafeBoot Holdings (acquired by McAfee) and Web Reservations International (acquired by Hellman and Friedman) AB in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University. JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School. Active in Harvard-related activities, currently serves on the Harvard University Committee on Nominations and formerly was an elected Director of the Harvard Alumni Association.
