Scott Gibaratz

Bio

Mr. Gibaratz is Chief Financial Officer of Qualitor, Inc. and a Managing Director at HCI Equity Partners. Mr. Gibaratz joined the Firm in March 2004 and was involved in the investments in Morton Welding and Qualitor. In 2004 Mr. Gibaratz served as interim CFO at Educational Resources/Sunburst Technologies and since January 2006 has been CFO at Qualitor, where he is also on the Board of Directors. Mr. Gibaratz has also been actively involved with Mistras Group, Inc. Prior to joining HCI Equity, Mr. Gibaratz spent 11 years in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Merrill Lynch, most recently as Director in London responsible for the European Technology M&A sector. While at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Gibaratz advised on over 50 mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions across a variety of industry sectors. Mr. Gibaratz spent a significant portion of his advisory career focusing on the manufacturing sector and working with companies in the automotive, capital goods, specialty and general industrial equipment sectors. Mr. Gibaratz received his Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management, graduating with Distinction, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, graduating with Distinction.
