Scott Soler

Bio

Scott co-leads Quantum’s strategy and investment efforts in the Midstream and Power/Renewable sectors. He also oversees the macro research function for Quantum, including forecasting and monitoring macro energy fundamentals and overseeing in-depth market studies of Quantum’s targeted energy sectors. Prior to joining Quantum, Scott served as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where he was the firm’s senior equity research analyst covering Natural Gas Pipelines, Energy Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs), Electric Utilities and Merchant Energy. He was the #1 ranked Natural Gas analyst (by Institutional Investor Magazine) in 2004, 2005, and 2006. From 1996-1999, Scott was the junior analyst on Morgan Stanley’s Oilfield Services and Equipment team that was ranked #2 in 1997, 1998 and 1999. Prior to his tenure at Morgan Stanley, He served as a senior auditor and consultant at Ernst & Young, advising several Fortune 500 companies. Scott is a CPA in the state of Texas. He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting with honors from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
