Shawn Terry

Bio

Shawn Terry, a founder of MHT, focuses on business services, education and high-growth consumer products and services. While at MHT, Shawn led the execution of assignments for Study Island, Central Power Products (Shuttlewagon), Animal Health International, Charlesbank Capital Partners/Zenith Products, eInstruction and Home Interiors & Gifts. Prior to founding MHT Partners, he served as a Managing Director of the Crossroads Group, a $2.0 billion private equity investment group headquartered in Dallas, Texas. While at Crossroads, he was involved in investing in dozens of venture capital and buyout funds, direct portfolio company investments and in a $400 million secondary acquisition of private equity assets formerly owned by EDS. Prior to joining the Crossroads Group, he spent nearly four years with McKinsey & Co., serving as an Engagement Manager in their Dallas office. While at McKinsey, he focused on providing strategic advisory services to clients in the Consumer Goods, Transportation, Electronics, Medical and Retail industries. Shawn began his career in the New York office of Goldman, Sachs & Co. as an investment banking analyst. While at Goldman, he specialized in both corporate finance and M&A transactions for media and telecom firms. Shawn is active in community and government affairs and served as the Republican nominee for United States Congress from Texas 24th Congressional District in 1998. He serves on the board of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of North Texas, an organization that promotes and facilitates community involvement and philanthropy for companies. He is also an active member of the Dallas chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Shawn has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BBA in Finance and a BA in Political Science.
