Bio

Stacey serves as a member of Quantum’s technical team where his primary duties include technical, operational, strategic and financial due diligence of existing and potential portfolio companies. He has a broad range of experience in the areas of petroleum engineering, oil and gas operations, geology and geophysics. Prior to joining Quantum, Stacey co-founded Legado Resources, a privately held oil and gas company, in 2007. He served as CFO and VP of Finance, where he was instrumental in setting up the company’s capital structure and back-office administration. Additionally, in his position as VP of Development at Legado, he played a significant role in evaluating and developing the company’s asset portfolio. Prior to Legado, Stacey also held positions in management, corporate and strategic planning and technical evaluation at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation. During his fifteen-year tenure at Anadarko, he worked in the major oil and gas basins of North America and performed functions such as the exploitation of oil and gas assets, portfolio analysis and optimization as well as the development of asset group business plans and enhancement of existing exploration and production work flow processes.Stacey is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and a member of several industry organizations, including the IPAA, Houston Producers’ Forum and Houston Energy Finance Group. He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering, with department honors, from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A from Our Lady of the Lake University.
