Bio

Mr Alfeld is chairman and a managing partner of Landmark. He oversees Landmark’s strategic planning and investment activities. Mr Alfeld founded Landmark’s predecessor venture capital firm in 1984 after serving as a sector vice president of strategic planning for United Technologies Corporation. In 1989, he saw the opportunity to develop a new market and provide private equity sellers with much-needed liquidity while offering investors the potential of enhanced risk-adjusted returns. A new era began for both the firm and the industry, when a Landmark-sponsored fund purchased a portfolio of secondary private equity interests. Mr Alfeld serves as a member of the boards of directors of The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, St Francis Hospital Foundation, Eve’s Fund, and the Stratton Mountain Chapel of the Snows. Mr Alfeld received an MBA from Marquette University and a BA from Indiana University.
