Bio
Prior to joining Northern, Mr. Hoekstra was Head of Shipping and Managing Director of the New York branch of DVB Bank with responsibility for the Western Hemisphere. From 1990 to 2000, Mr. Hoekstra served as Senior Relationship Manager for Nedship Bank and De Nationale Investeringsbank. Through his 20 year career in shipping, Mr. Hoekstra has built up an extensive worldwide network of contacts and an in-depth knowledge of the shipping industry. Mr. Hoekstra served as an officer in the Dutch Army from 1989 to 1990. Mr. Hoekstra graduated from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam with a degree in business administration and economics.
