Thomas Parkinson

Bio

Partner of Woodland Venture Management, which operates two venture capital funds investing in entrepreneurial companies in under-served regions of the United States. He is a partner and member of the investment committee for both Adena Ventures and Hopewell Ventures, a Chicago-based fund targeting the Midwest.. Mr. Parkinson serves on the Board of Directors for Vested Health, LLC. Previously, he was the Executive Director of the Evanston Business Investment Corporation (“EBIC”), an early-stage venture fund associated with the Northwestern University, Evanston Research Park. He was also the CFO of the Technology Innovation Center, the leading high-tech business incubation facility in the Chicago metropolitan area and has taught courses in small business and entrepreneurial finance at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, the University of the West Indies and the Czechoslovak Management Center. Currently a Director of three private companies, TLContact, Inc. and Harmonic Vision, Inc., both based in Chicago, and Vested Health, LLC, based in Charleston, WV. Earned his Masters Degree from Kellogg, with a specialization in Urban Economic Development.
