Bio

Timothy J. Ballard is a Co-Founder, and the President and Chief Investment Officer of Buchanan Street Partners. Mr. Ballard is responsible for all of Buchanan’s investing activities, as well as developing the long-term economic outlook and macro-level investment strategies for Buchanan’s investment portfolios. In his tenure at Buchanan, Mr. Ballard has directed over $5 billion of real estate investments as Chief Investment Officer. Since Buchanan’s inception, he has elevated Buchanan’s investment initiatives to a national scope through the investment in over 200 properties spanning office, industrial, multi-family and retail assets. These investments encompass both debt and equity and include joint ventures with leading national and international real estate operators. Overall, Mr. Ballard has been responsible for the formation of five commingled funds and separate accounts for the purpose of making value-added real estate investments. These funds manage the assets of large public pension plans, life insurance companies, corporate pension funds and HNW investors. He serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for Buchanan Children’s Charities Mr. Ballard has 21 years of real estate experience and holds dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton School in Economics and Real Estate Finance.
