Prior to Spartan, Jason spent 2 years researching cryptoassets and sharing some of his conversations on The Blockcrunch Podcast.
Jason first came across Bitcoin while a student at the Wharton School of Business. There, he helped launch Contrary Capital, a decentralized, first-check venture fund backed by executives from Facebook, Tesla, Twitch, and Reddit. Turning his attention to crypto, Jason grew Blockcrunch, a research-driven cryptoasset podcast targeting global institutional investors, to 10% of global shows in the world by per episode downloads within 1.5 years. Prior to returning to Hong Kong, Jason was an analyst at Deloitte Consulting's New York office assisting with the firm’s fintech and blockchain initiatives, and interned at global macro hedge fund Bridgewater Associates.
