Bio

Marieke Flament joined Circle as Managing Director for Europe, establishing Circle in the UK in April 2016. Since then she has rapidly expanded the team and led launch of the Circle Pay app in 29 European countries. Marieke was one of the first to sign up to HMT’s Women in Finance Charter and is on the Women in FinTech Powerlist for 2017. Marieke is pioneering the consumer application of blockchain and moving this agenda forward with key decision makers including governments and financial policymakers (HMT, Federal Government etc.) and regulators across Europe. Marieke is Global CMO & Managing Director for Europe at Circle, a crypto finance company. Having led companies across Asia & Europe, at Circle she works closely with regulators and governments to pioneer the consumer application of blockchain.
