In addition to identifying new, early-stage investments Mr Coleman works with many of the existing portfolio companies to help them navigate market and regulatory issues Mr Coleman began his career on the entrepreneurial side of the equation, building the interactive business for a publishing company in New York. He made the transition to the energy sector in 2001, working with several startups and early Cleantech funds. He helped develop project finance structures for new energy technologies, and worked as the Legislative Director for the New Fuels Alliance (Formerly REAP). Will has also worked for GE Wind in the commercial operations group, Xseed Capital, and on a variety of renewable energy projects in China, West Africa, and India Mr Coleman Serves on the board of the Clean Economy Network, sits on the venture advisory board for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and on the advisory committee for the California Energy Commission's Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program ($840M fund to support low carbon transportation technologies). He also sits on the advisory board for the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative and has served on the advisory committee for the Western Governors' Association Mr Coleman Graduated magna cum laude in Social Studies from Harvard University, and earned an MBA and an MS in Energy & Resources from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley Mr Coleman founded the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative (BERC) and the Center for Energy & Environmental Innovation (now the Energy Institute)
