Bio
Joined CTIP in October 2009 as a consultant. Previously Senior Investment Manager at Oxford Capital Partners where he was responsible for clean technology and medtech investments. During the 4 years he was at Oxford Capital, led 16 investments in rounds totalling over £45 million. In 1997, founded the University of Oxford spin-out, Opsys Ltd and became its technical director. Over the following 5 years, was a key part of the management team that built the company from scratch to one of the world’s leading OLED technology developers. In 2002, sold Opsys to Cambridge Display Technologies. Named inventor on several patents and was the Royal Society of Chemistry Entrepreneur of the Year in 2002. Responsible for CTIP’s investment in Concurrent Thinking. PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College. Has held a research fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley. Has held a Royal Society University Research Fellowship at the Department of Chemistry in the University of Oxford. Spent a year as a Sloan Fellow at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.
